We thank Baker & McKenzie especially Mr Ali Mojdehi who assisted us on a pro bono basis in securing a license. Without his assistance, we might still be trying to obtain the appropriate approvals from the U.S. government to get these monies where they can best serve the children and the community.
About SPRC:
The 'Society to Protect the Rights of Children's was established in December of 1994 by a group of teachers, writers, artists, attorneys, and educators for the purpose of improving the lives of children in Iran. SPRC is independent, non-profit, non-governmental, and without any political affiliation. One of the main goals of SPRC is to raise awareness about the rights of the child amongst the various classes of society - ranging from the general population to legislators, politicians, policymakers, and child education specialists - in order to identify those factors which facilitate and impede the process of procuring and protecting these rights.
